Use new views in your AODocs libraries

We've built a new version of the views interface, consolidating the work we did for the beta views and introducing new visuals and an improved layout. In addition, there are some feature improvements.

The legacy and beta versions remain available, and you can switch between the different versions at any time. Learn more:

Notes:
– When new views are activated on your domain or in individual libraries, users can't switch back to legacy or beta views.
– You must be a super administrator to activate new views at the domain level and you must be a library administrator to activate new views in libraries.

The main differences between the new views and the legacy and beta versions are listed below.

In the new views:

  • we've implemented a new visual design: colours, font sizes, etc.
  • we've improved the layout: the New button, filters, top action bar and column selector are positioned differently
  • you can collapse and expand filters
  • you can resize and pin columns
  • we've reworked some action dialogs, but they present the same options
  • the Attached files panel is available in libraries using Google Cloud Storage or Azure Blob Storage

Some features available in the legacy and beta views aren't yet available in the new views. All features will be available by the time we deploy the new views on customer domains.
