  • Added support for rendering Table Properties in workflow email notifications as compact HTML tables, ensuring email readability across clients with safeguards for large tables.
  • Added support for detached permissions on subfolders in Secured Folder libraries by enabling Google Drive Limited Access and applying permissions directly to the detached subfolder.
  • Added management of the Google Drive Limited Access flag in Team Folder libraries to synchronize detached folder permissions and inherited document visibility.
  • Added support for synchronizing Google Drive limited access permissions on files in Team Folder libraries, including retrieving migrated negative access control lists (ACLs).
  • Added a public API for domain administrators to force-refresh Google Group membership caches on demand for faster permission and validation propagation.
  • Added a new system field, externalSource, to store external source URLs so AIDA can reference and display links to external information sources.
  • Enhanced annotation exports and Comment Sheets to include every annotation as a separate entry, including graphical marks without comments, with annotation type, text content, and burn status metadata.
  • Added a private bulk migration API to convert Team Folder libraries to Secured Folder libraries with private visibility while preserving existing file permissions and hiding folders from Google Drive after synchronization.

  • Target fields' mapping references are now automatically cleared when an administrator deletes a source field from a document class.
  • Category value mappings are now automatically updated or removed when category values are deleted.
  • Prevented deletion of category definitions used as columns in table properties to avoid invalid configurations.
  • Administrators can now remove calendar configurations after they have been saved.


Bug fixes
  • Fixed an issue where embedded AODocs widgets could force page scrolling back to the widget after loading on Google Sites.
  • Fixed an issue where copying certain libraries could create corrupted clones that failed to open.
  • Fixed an issue where documents could be missing from views and search results due to incorrectly ignored Google Group permissions.
  • Improved folder tree loading performance in large libraries.
  • Fixed library copy failures when document classes contained linked category properties.
  • Fixed publish state handling for the new search service to ensure behavior matches legacy search implementations.
  • Fixed email qualification checks to use the domain admin account for Google Directory API calls, avoiding authentication failures.
  • Restored authentication and login functionality in the development environment by updating the Firebase API key configuration.


Technical improvements
  • Improved library ownership change jobs to detect document and attachment inconsistencies, fail affected tasks with explicit errors instead of retrying endlessly, and log details for investigation.
  • Added email service configuration support to centralize and manage email-related settings.
  • Updated dual-search indexing flow to prioritize OpenSearch publication before AppEngine indexing during migration periods.
  • Optimized lookup target updates by triggering synchronization tasks only when a document is actually used as a lookup source.

  • Fixed an issue where the correct empty state was not displayed in Cross-Library Search when a search triggered an error.
  • Fixed an issue where Microsoft users encountered errors when opening Google attachments in PrizmDoc file preview.

  • Added the ability to create a new workflow state by duplicating an existing one.
  • Added support for uploading categories via Excel files.
  • Introduced Dynamic Categories, including:
    • Creation and mapping steps in the Categories section.
    • Configuration of linked vs independent categories in the Class layout.
    • Added the Preview Mapping step and refactored the dialog on the document class.
  • Added support for using table properties in view pre-filters.
  • Added a dropdown in user actions to configure transition comment behavior (Hidden, Optional, or Mandatory) on workflow transitions.

  • In library settings, administrators can now:

  • Improved visibility controls for recent activity filters:
    • Removed the clear 'X' button for group/role selection.
    • Always display the group icon when a group is selected.
  • On the Roles page, we made the following improvements:
    • Disabled editing for system roles.
    • Added the ability to rename roles directly from the right panel header.
    • Updated role details so Person properties display 'Person property' instead of 'Not a member of this library'.
  • Added a documentId filter in the AI processing logs.
  • Added a flag for calendars.


Bug fixes
  • Fixed an issue where newly added or deleted workflow action scripts were not immediately shown without a manual page refresh.
  • Fixed incorrect labels for Team Folder and Secured Folder libraries in the library settings headers.

  • Fixed an issue where incorrect rows were removed when deleting a multi-level category value.
  • Improved the user experience when selecting a document class in the file preview for documents with many classes.
  • Fixed incorrect file names in file preview for attachments originating from EML files.
  • Fixed an issue where a property's required indicator remained visible even after its validation rule was removed.

AODocs Intelligent Document Processing 3.0.1 released on 29 April 2026

New features and feature improvements

  • We improved the AI processing logs by adding a Document ID filter and improving the details in audit logs when no configuration is found.
  • Library administrators can now reprocess failed AI extraction events asynchronously.
  • Added a preview endpoint to view duplicate detection results during configuration creation.
  • Enabled asynchronous processing configuration on audit log events for AI duplicate detection.
  • Integrated duplicate detection system fields into the processing logs and introduced the absolute duplicate flag.
  • AI Split status is now updated when a document is deleted, which prevents retry loops.


Bug fixes
  • Fixed an issue where documents failed to transition to an error state if a failure occurred during patching and retries.

  • Enforced validation on category value mappings to reject unknown or invalid category values.
  • Fixed an issue preventing category-type table columns from being used as view pre-filters.
  • Improved reliability of Azure client key rotation by preventing failures caused by concurrent requests.
  • Fixed an issue where time-based automatic workflow transitions could fail, causing documents to remain stuck in a workflow state.


Technical improvements
  • Improved the release pipeline by isolating artifact deployment into a dedicated step to reduce failures and simplify retries.
  • Disabled permission editing in Team Folder libraries for consistent and predictable access control.
  • Added an optional parameter to cross-library search to allow requesting extra fields in results per query.

  • Enforced alphabetical ordering across all library administration dropdowns.
  • Added a Select all option in the Deleted documents section.
  • Added the ability to create properties directly from the Document class layout (via a + button on hover).
  • Improvements to the Members page:
    • Members are now sorted alphabetically.
    • Fixed search for members and groups.
    • Improved error messages when adding the same member twice.

  • Annotations:
    • Auto-opening of comments during annotations is enabled.
    • We added bi-directional highlighting between the comments table and panel.
    • The Advanced viewer annotation toolbar is now a floating, draggable component.
  • DWG Viewer
    • New icons to switch between the Advanced and Autodesk viewers when viewing DWG files.
    • The Open in Autodesk button now displays according to feature flags and Autodesk license availability.
  • Drawing Comparison: it's now possible to compare files (PDF, DWG, TIFF).

  • All documents you previously consulted when online are available to view offline.
  • If an AODocs document has been cached, you can edit its properties while offline.

  • Document Classes and Properties
    • Fixed conditional settings and scripts not displaying in Document Class.
    • Fixed Class Formula to allow saving category values.
  • Fixed an issue where pressing ESC after opening a nav item made the navigation disappear.
  • Members:
    • Fixed search in the new Members page (Access-Roles), which previously returned zero results.
    • Fixed an issue where a newly added member did not appear in the table until after a page refresh.

New tenant administration interface 0.1.2 released on 1 April 2026

  • We introduced a full redesign of the tenant administration interface, providing a more modern and streamlined user experience.
  • Activation
    You can access the new UI from the tenant homepage. This is the only entry point for now, improvements on access are planned. 
    To enable it:

  • We introduced a new Access section in the regrouped navigation. It contains:
    • Security: define rights, visibility, and restrictions for the library
    • Members: manage members and their access levels
    • Roles: create roles and add users, groups, or person properties as members
  • Library administrators can now create categories directly from the Document Class layout.
  • There's a warning dialog on all screens when exiting without saving.
  • There are labels/placeholders for tables when empty, loading, or in error state.
  • Library administrators can now create user actions directly from a workflow state.

Bug fixes

  • We fixed a display issue when moving a property or section in the Document Class layout.
  • We fixed word break issues in snackbars.
  • We fixed a user interface issue in the AI Split configuration when long text is used in sections.
  • Tables are now visible even when empty.
  • Conditional properties are bow cleared when switching to Yes/No.
  • We fixed a date parsing issue causing incorrect display and sorting in the Statistics page.

Technical improvement

  • We enabled table properties for all users. A toggle is available on the Features page.

Feature improvement: We added support to fetch document names for AIDA chat context.

Feature improvement

  • Document preview (side panel in new views): the Allow actions from document preview (side panel) switch is now available in the library administration.

Bug fixes

  • We fixed an issue where the document preview displayed an incorrect relation name and only one side of the relation.
  • We fixed an issue where workflow actions with long names were not properly displayed in the document preview.
  • We fixed an issue causing duplicate toast messages.

Technical improvement

  • Angular was updated to version 21.

AIDA 2.5.0 released on 12 March 2026

New features and feature improvements

  • User interface and layout
    • The the welcome page and question input area have been redesigned.
    • The default chatbot window is bigger.
    • There's a new chat window that's resizable by drag and drop, with the ability to expand it fully using a button.
    • A new scroll bar improves navigation.
    • History and New Chat have new icons.
  • Chat history: We added a search bar in the History chats sidebar to filter conversations by keyword.
  • Conversation readability: 
    • The legibility of conversations has been enhanced by adjusting margins and spacing.
    • The background colors for user questions have beed updated to improve visual distinction.
  • Interactions: 
    • The View chain of thoughts button was simplified to make it more discreet and less visually heavy.
    • There's a new Copy button at the bottom of every AI response.
  • User feedback
    • A success message appears when a user clicks the thumbs up icon.
    • When clicking the thumbs down icon, users can now leave a comment through a text area/form.

  • We fixed Microsoft user synchronization. Deleting a user in Azure immediately flags the corresponding UserInfo as deleted in AODocs (based on updated events with deletedDateTime), and automatically restores the user if they are restored in Azure.
  • We fixed an issue where restoring a previous document version in Document Management libraries could result in missing attached files when the requestor lost permissions during the background restore job. This was done by ensuring deferred restore tasks run with the correct system context and complete successfully.
  • We fixed a search error in staging caused by duplicate AttachmentsOnOssID keys, which triggered “Multiple entries with same key” exceptions during document search.

Technical improvements

  • We resolved an issue where missing library errors during document indexing were not properly handled, causing repeated retries and bloated skip-index-task queues. Now, such cases are logged as warnings and skipped without retrying. This is similar to how deleted documents are handled.

  • If a document has an outdated reference catalog value, it no longer prevents the document from being saved. It still isn't possible to assign an outdated value.   • We added a toggle in the domain administration and library administration to try out and use the new library administration pages.
  • We updated the sign-in page with new colors and visuals.

AODocs backend 67.1 released on the 16 and 17 June 2025

New features and feature improvements

  • We introduced a reusable document creation token for bulk operations. Users can now generate one token per user and domain to streamline document ID allocation and file uploads without repeated backend access. This improves performance in high-volume scenarios like migrations.
  • Support of Drive’s third-party shortcut files as attached files in AODocs: since shortcut files cannot be copied by Drive, we now maintain the same Drive file across versions of an AODocs document to ensure versioning compatibility.
  • It is now possible to copy libraries using Google Cloud or Azure storage across domains. This operation is always done by the AODocs Service team.
  • The AODocs document copy feature is disabled when a document contains Drive’s third-party shortcut files. This prevents potential errors and inconsistencies.

Bug fixes

  • We fixed incorrect descriptions in folder permissions API endpoints.
  • We resolved a serialization incompatibility in CachedAccessToken between AODocs 66 and 67 by changing the cache key. This prevents conflicts caused by differing set implementations used for scopes.
  • We fixed issues preventing Azure directory groups from being added to library permissions properly. Group emails are no longer misclassified as user emails in the library permission list.
  • We fixed a compatibility issue in AODocs 67 that prevented access to the Azure directory. Group synchronization now works correctly without errors during user context creation or background tasks.
  • Drive operations in job and deferred tasks are no longer retried when a quota exceeded error occurs. This prevents unnecessary retries and helps avoid hitting AODocs operation limits during processes like library copy.

Technical improvement

  • We added a strict mode to the document update API. When enabled, the update fails if the result leaves mandatory fields empty. This helps prevent invalid document states during editing.

File Storage Manager 3.16 released on 12 June 2025 

New features and feature improvements

  • File Storage Manager now supports the new document creation token. Requests to create objects can be validated using this token without calling the AODocs backend. This improves efficiency when the document ID is pre-allocated but not yet created.

Bug fixes

  • We improved error handling and timeouts during large file uploads in batch migrations. Timeouts when copying large attached files from customer-owned buckets now trigger clearer error messages and are less likely to fail due to increased timeout settings.

Technical improvements

  • We set up the infrastructure for ingesting request logs into BigQuery, including Pub/Sub topics, dead letter handling, and a properly configured BigQuery table; all managed via Terraform.
  • We added a new maintenance API in File Storage Manager to unlink Google Cloud Storage buckets. This endpoint removes CORS and notification settings, and deletes all related bucket entities. It can be used without backend access during migration scenarios.

  • We fixed two bugs which happened when the optimization on conditional logic was enabled:
    • the property name and ID are now specified in all error messages
    • the line number is now correct in all error messages

Note: from now on, the column number in the error messages is no longer reported, since it’s meaningless.

  • An issue was preventing AODocs from knowing if sending an email was successful or not. This has been fixed.
  • Synchronization of Drive labels from Drive to AODocs: when a document is checked in and Drive labels were updated while in the draft state, the new labels are now correctly retrieved in the new version of the document.
  • When an AODocs domain is under "maintenance”, some automatic technical operations are now skipped to reduce infrastructure costs.

  • We reordered the folder actions in the beta views contextual menu and, in Team Folders and Secured Folders only, added an action Open in Google Drive.
  • We reintroduced the button Open in Google Drive in the top action bar in Team Folders and Secured Folders. This button is available when nothing is selected. Clicking this button opens the current folder in Drive.

Bug fixes:

  • When users created two Google attached files in a document quickly one after the other, the second file wasn't attached to the document.
  • An attached file was lost without warning when two users tried to add an attached file to the same document at the same time.

  • We fixed a bug to prevent unnecessary interactions with Google Drive when an AODocs domain has been fully switched to Microsoft Azure. This is to avoid unnecessary infrastructure costs.

Technical improvements

We made improvements to some of our automatic maintenance tasks:

  • We fixed an issue which made some automatic maintenance tasks fail.
  • We reduced the frequency of running tasks on libraries that have been archived.

AODocs backend 64.5 released on 25 April 2024

Bug fixes

  • We optimized the execution of conditional logic formulas:
    • We fixed a bug that prevented a formula from running when there was an initial blank line.
    • We fixed a bug that displayed "[]" in an empty calculated multi-value property, instead of displaying nothing.
  • Microsoft Word DOC attached files are now searchable in Google Cloud Storage or Azure Blob Storage libraries:
    • With the AODocs backend 64.1 release we fixed the issue for newly attached DOC files.
    • With this release, the DOC files already attached to documents will be searchable again. However, this operation must be triggered by the AODocs Support team and it will be effective a few days after the AODocs 64.5 release.
  • We fixed a bug that prevented the SENT_NOTIFICATION audit log event from being created after sending an email.

Feature improvement

  • We improved the security on the feature allowing AODocs support teams to copy a library across various domains.

AODocs web application 64.2 released on 17 April 2024

Important: This release was deployed to the US instance only. 

Feature improvement: We updated the text on the domain administration AODocs Super administrators page to make it clearer.

Bug fixes

  • There's no longer an error when you click Save twice in a newly created document.
  • Related item titles now use the full available width.
  • The search box is no longer filled with the previous query when you switch views.
  • Dates are now displayed correctly when the language is set to en_AU.
  • The Edit button is no longer deactivated for a long time when you open a document.
  • Bulk file downloader in Google Cloud Storage and Azure Blob Storage libraries no longer fails when files have parenthesis in their name.

Technical improvement: We enabled the use of the Advanced viewer on a dedicated instance. Additional steps are required before it becomes available.


AODocs backend R64.4 released on 17 April 2024

Feature improvements

  • When you create a document using the API, you can't add an attachment to a previous version if it's encrypted with Google client-side encryption.
  • Previous versions of a document are now updated when a Google Drive label changes.
  • We scaled up the API to perform sanity checks before a library switch, so the switch can be executed on multiple libraries. This API is restricted to the AODocs Support team.

Bug fixes

  • When you create a new version of a document, Drive labels are no longer duplicated.
  • We fixed a bug that affected the eSign connector and the PDF Generator, preventing many features from working properly.
  • When a library is in error, automatic (time-based) workflow transitions are now skipped.
  • We fixed a bug that prevented users with email aliases from opening the validation page from a workflow validation email.
  • When you create a new version of a document, Drive labels are no longer duplicated
  • We fixed a bug on a feature that is not yet publicly available.

Technical improvements

  • Technical operations are now avoided when a library is archived, or when a domain is in error.
  • We removed various meaningless technical logs, to save storage costs.
  • We fixed a technical bug which caused problems when there was a high number of internal service accounts.
  • Some operations have been made more robust in the event of a memory issue.
  • We improved the technical logs when AODocs performs a search query in Google Drive.
  • We made several improvements to the way we ship new AODocs releases.
  • We improved the technical tests for the Drive label synchronization feature.
  • We improved our internal technical logging system.

  • It's now possible to purge (cleanse) an AODocs domain in MAINTENANCE status.
  • We changed the way Drive Labels are handled on template documents from Drive to AODocs.

  • We improved the way we ship new AODocs releases.

AODocs backend 64.2 released on 3 April 2024

New features and feature improvements

  • We added a new API that allows beta views to display the "Browse by folders" panel easily, according to which pre-filters are set on the view.
  • It's now possible to index a single email address, to make it searchable. This feature is restricted to the AODocs Support team.
  • We made improvements to the synchronization between AODocs and Google Drive labels.
  • It's now possible to enable or disable the preview & download of attachments from previous versions of an AODocs document, when Google Cloud Platform and Google Cloud Storage are considered "untrusted".
  • It's now possible to retrieve all the documents from a library, in an unordered way, from the API (required by the AODocs Retention Module).
  • We stopped backing up some unnecessary data (AODocs technical backup).
  • We improved the readability of technical logs coming from Google Cloud Storage and Azure Blob Storage.
  • Technical logs are now saved in BigQuery on all environments, so they can be used by our technical teams even after the initial 30-day retention period. This was previously only available on the US production environment.
  • We improved the way we develop features and fixes in minor releases.
  • We improved the way AODocs manages notifications from Google Drive, so they can be used by other features.
  • We improved the way we ship new AODocs releases.
  • We removed various meaningless technical logs, to save storage costs.
  • We automated some maintenance tasks on the delayed domains (AODocs Life Sciences), which previously had to be handled manually.

Improvements on the support of Google client-side encryption:

  • It is not possible to create a draft from a document which has an encrypted attachment.
  • It is not possible to create an AODocs document with a new encrypted Drive attached file from custom scripts.

Bug fixes

  • We fixed an issue that prevented AODocs from displaying some search results.
  • When a parallel workflow transition fails, the PARALLEL_VALIDATION_ACTION audit log event is no longer generated.
  • In DOCUMENT_UPDATED audit log events, the File type filter appeared as if it had been changed. However, this didn't reflect any real changes that the user had performed on the file. AODocs now ignores these meaningless changes for the the File type filter.
  • We fixed an issue preventing external users from attaching one of their Drive files to an AODocs document.
  • We fixed a bug that prevented some users from seeing all the libraries from the homepage.
  • We fixed an issue on an AODocs API so lists of subfolders are now returned in the proper order.
  • To ensure consistency, as long as a library is locked (for example, because it's being switched), it can't be deleted.
  • We fixed a memory issue on a private API (restricted to Support and Operations teams).

In addition we made various technical improvements.

Bug fixes

  • We fixed a bug that prevented Word DOC files from being searched when they were stored on Google Cloud Storage or Azure Blob Storage. The bug didn't occur with the DOCX format. The fix only applies to newly created attached files. We still need to fix the bug for existing files. 
  • We fixed two technical bugs that affected our automatic tests.
  • We fixed a bug that prevented email notifications from being sent when using the Emails to documents feature.
  • We fixed a bug on the upcoming custom sender domain feature, which bypassed the configuration on the library or domain.

New features

  • In the view configuration, the system property MIME type group was renamed to File type
  • Improvements on the new ability to synchronize labels between AODocs and Google Drive.

Technical improvements

  • We improved the automatic tests on the custom sender domain feature.
  • We fixed a bug on our tracking system.
  • We fixed a bug on our release system.

AODocs backend 63.9 released on 11 March 2024

New features

  • When an attachment is encrypted using Google Workspace Client-Side Encryption (CSE), users are now prevented from copying the AODocs document (from the user interface, REST API and custom script).
  • When creating a new AODocs document in a draft state from the API in a Team Folder or Secured Folder, AODocs checks the presence and consistency of the attachment.

Bug fixes

  • When copying a library, there were sometimes issues with the copy of custom scripts; this is now fixed.
  • Technical fix on user redirection, set after an AODocs domain has been moved from one AODocs instance to another one.
  • We increased the technical performances of the EU instance, to better serve all the customers using this instance.

Technical improvements

  • Two minor fixes and an improvement on the way we ship new releases of AODocs.

AODocs 64 released on 5 March 2024 (test domains)

AODocs R64 is enabled on customer test domains, in both US and EU production environments. 


AODocs backend 63.8 released on 28 February 2024

New features

  • It's now possible to import a new AODocs document in a draft workflow state.
  • From a custom script, you can set the value of a Reference Catalog property using its ID, and not only its name.

Bug fixes

  • The custom configuration flag that lets users change the maximum number of pending workflow tasks listed on the library homepage to above the default value of 100 wasn’t working. We fixed it, so you can now use it again for an entire domain or individual libraries.
  • We fixed an issue that prevented users from sending workflow notification emails with the Mailjet email provider when there were more than 50 recipients.
  • We fixed a bug preventing users in a Google group or a domain set as library contributor to create a document from a template with more than four attachments.
  • We made two technical fixes on our way of releasing new versions of AODocs.

AODocs for AODocs Life Sciences released on 23 February 2024

All customers using AODocs Life Sciences have been upgraded to AODocs 63.7.
