Bug fixes
- We fixed some bugs preventing the export of specific emails.
Outlook add-in 7.2.7 released on 18 November 2024
Feature improvement: The results of batch exports are provided more quickly after the export is completed. Previously, the status sometimes took hours to be updated, now it takes minutes.
Bug fix: Batch exports could end in failure if the user's quota for Gmail or Drive operations was reached. We now try for a longer period and throttle operations to avoid this.
Outlook add-in 7.2.6 released on 25 October 2024
Bug fix: Exporting some emails that had been forwarded failed because of a mismatch of the email ID. This has been fixed.
Outlook add-in 7.2.5 released on 23 October 2024
Bug fix: Exporting an email whose body contained external images could fail if the images were no longer accessible. The images are now replaced by blank spaces.
Outlook add-in 7.2.4 released on 22 October 2024
Bug fix: Exporting emails failed and sometimes caused other exports to fail when the Outlook API was too slow to respond. A timeout was added to the API requests.
Outlook add-in 7.2.3 released on 14 October 2024
Bug fix: Exporting an email failed if the email was moved to another folder before being processed by the batch. This has been fixed.
Outlook add-in 7.2.2 released on 9 October 2024
Bug fix: We improved the PDF conversion when an email contains an unencoded
character.
Outlook add-in 7.2.1 released on 3 October 2024
Bug fixes:
- A message now appears when an email attachment is too big. The Outlook authorized limit varies, but is about 26MB.
- Exports no longer fail when an email has an EML attachment that doesn't have the .eml extension.
- Exports no longer fail when the body of the email contains unusual characters. The conversion to PDF now works correctly.
- Some batch exports showed as In progress permanently when several batch exports were created in the same millisecond. This has been fixed.
Outlook add-in 7.2 released on 3 October 2024
Feature improvements
- Users can select what to export during single export: EML, Body as PDF, attachments.
- Users select their AODocs domain when signing-in. Previously they had to enter their domain name manually.
- User interface text updates throughout the add-in and the Dashboard.
Outlook add-in 7.1 released on 13 August 2024
New features and feature improvements
- Users can now choose to receive a summary email after a rule export. They can choose to get it systematically, or just in case of errors. The setup is in the personal settings of the dashboard.
- We removed the default library, class and behaviour settings in the personal settings of the dashboard. Instead, the add-in remembers the last library and class used, and the default behaviour for exports is always to create a new document.
- For both single and rule-based exports, the generated document now contains the EML file of the email and its body as a PDF, in addition to the email attachments. Before it contained the EML file and attachments, and the body was pasted in the description of the document.
- Exported emails now have a category added: Exported to AODocs in case of success, Failed export to AODocs in case of failure.
- You can no longer select Inbox in the definition of rules, to avoid exporting the whole Inbox.
- You can now export to Drive-based libraries for all types of export. Before, only libraries using Google Cloud Storage or Microsoft Azure Blob Storage were supported.
- It is now possible to change the AODocs domain used by the add-in through a new option Settings/Dashboard in the add-in menu.
- You can now select the rules to use as a basis for the export. Before you had to use all rules.
- The text in the user interface has been updated: the term Export replaces Save, etc.
- A status page now appears at the end of all types of export.
Outlook add-in 6.4.0 released on 13 June 2024
Technical improvement: Users now sign in through a pop-up because Google deprecated the same-page method.
