Migrate for AODocs V17 Release notes

Hi Migrate for AODocs users,

We're pleased to announce release 17 of Migrate for AODocs!

What's new?

Perform quick migrations as contributor
Prevent inappropriate modification of the spreadsheet after validation

Perform quick migrations as contributor

Previously, you needed to be administrator of the AODocs library to perform a migration (quick or advanced).

You can now perform quick migrations as a contributor.

Is this feature available for everyone?

This feature is deactivated by default to prevent any unsupervised migrations on your domain. If you are interested in this new feature, don't hesitate to contact your AODocs Customer Success Service to enable it on your domain!

Are there any limitations?

Yes, there are three:

  • For quick migrations, the target document class must exist and be defined when you create the migration. You can’t create a new document class during the migration.
  • You can’t create additional custom properties or categories in your document class during the migration, they all need to be defined in AODocs before the migration.
  • The speed of contributor migrations is limited to 30 documents created per minute per storage account.

Prevent inappropriate modification of the spreadsheet after validation

Previously, you could modify the content of the spreadsheet during the whole migration process, which could lead to inconsistencies in the created documents if the data were edited after the integrity check.

We now help you to determine when modification will be taken into consideration by locking the data and binding sheets after content validation.
