What is AODocs?
AODocs is a content services platform leveraging the full power of the cloud to help organizations control their documents, automate their business critical processes, and meet compliance requirements.
Who can access AODocs?
Any user equipped with a Microsoft or Google account can access AODocs. It can be either a professional account (Azure Active Directory account or Google Workspace cloud collaborative suites) or a personal account (outlook.com or gmail.com).
Note: AODocs Content Services licenses are required for Microsoft users to collaborate on your AODocs domain. Contact our sales team at sales@aodocs.com to learn more.
If the ability for Microsoft users to sign in is activated on your AODocs domain, when you access AODocs for the first time you’re prompted to sign in with Google or Microsoft. Learn more: Sign in to AODocs.
If you're a user with a Google Account working on an AODocs domain without the ability for Microsoft users to sign in to AODocs, when you access AODocs you're simply prompted to sign in with your Google Account.

If your AODocs super administrator has allowlisted external users on your domain, they can access AODocs. Learn more: Access AODocs libraries as an external user.
Where is my content stored?
With AODocs, your content is stored on one of the following storage platforms:
- Google Drive – for Google Workspace customers only. Libraries can be of type Team Folder, Secured Folder (accessible from the Google Drive interface) or Document Management. Learn more about which type of library to choose.

Google Cloud Storage (GCS) – if this storage type is activated on your AODocs domain, you can use it for Document Management libraries only. For each library you can choose between:
- Google Cloud Storage buckets created and managed by AODocs
- a single bucket that you create and manage on your own Google Cloud Storage – learn more: Use a custom bucket in Google Cloud Storage when creating a new Document Management library (for super administrators)
- Azure Blob Storage – if this storage type is activated on your AODocs domain, you can use it for Document Management libraries only. Your attachments are stored in an Azure container that you create and manage – learn more: Set up Azure Blob Storage for AODocs (for super administrators)
