Migrate for AODocs permissions

Migrate for AODocs is a tool that allows you to migrate files and folders into your AODocs libraries.

 Grant permissions to access Migrate for AODocs
 Grant permissions for uploader accounts and the "Migrate for AODocs – Uploader" app
 Grant permissions for the API and Gateway

Grant permissions to access Migrate for AODocs

When you access Migrate for AODocs with your migration account, you need to grant three sets of permissions for the following elements:

  • the Migrate for AODocs user interface
  • the API
  • Gateway (depending on the type of migration you want to run)

Below is a summary of the actions performed by the different elements of Migrate for AODocs for which you need to grant permissions.

  Your migration account   Uploader account
Migrate for AODocs

- Access list of AODocs libraries

- Navigate to the My Drive and Shared Drive of the migration account

API - Initialize the AODocs structure
- Create documents
- Upload attachments to Drive
Gateway

- Create spreadsheets

 Note: You need to grant offline consent so the migration can continue even if you're offline.

You must grant the following permission to use Migrate for AODocs.

See, edit, create and delete all of your Google Drive files

Migrate for AODocs will:

  • create extraction spreadsheets containing migration details
  • store extraction details as CSV files in Drive
  • scan your My Drive to run a Drive migration
  • run migrations from Shared Drives (Migrate for AODocs moves the Shared Drive files into your My Drive, then transfers the files into AODocs)

 


Grant permissions for uploader accounts and the "Migrate for AODocs – Uploader" app

Uploader accounts and the domain-wide Migrate for AODocs – Uploader app require the same permission.

View and manage Google Drive files and folders that you have opened or created with this app To let you import files into your My Drive.

The API and Gateway require the same permissions.
