Migrate for AODocs permissions

Migrate for AODocs is a tool that allows you to migrate files and folders into your AODocs libraries.

Grant permissions to access Migrate for AODocs

When you access Migrate for AODocs with your migration account, you need to grant three sets of permissions for the user interface, the API and the Gateway. Learn more: Migrate for AODocs: basic definitions.

Below is a summary of the actions performed by the different elements of Migrate for AODocs for which you need to grant permissions.

 Note: You need to grant offline consent so the migration can continue even if you're offline.

Below is the full list of permissions you must grant to access Migrate for AODocs.

View and manage Google Drive files and folders that you have opened or created with this app Migrate for AODocs lets you choose a Google Drive folder to import into AODocs. It then requires access to your Google Drive to list files in your My Drive.
See, edit, create and delete your spreadsheets in Google Drive Migrate for AODocs reads and creates the extraction and migration spreadsheets in your My Drive

See your personal info, including any personal info you've made publicly available

The user interface needs access to your avatar.
View your email address The API needs to know your email to check you can access the migration
See and download all your Google Drive files To let you import files from your My Drive into AODocs, Gateway requires read-only access to your My Drive to push your files into AODocs.
View your data in Cloud Storage Migrate for AODocs can import your files from Cloud Storage if your files are stored in GCS.

 


Grant permissions for uploader accounts

Uploader accounts require the following permission.

View and manage Google Drive files and folders that you have opened or created with this app To let you import files into your My Drive.
