This article explains how to select a domain in the Smartbar settings.
By default, the AODocs Smartbar connects to your Google domain and gives access only to AODocs documents and folders that belong to your domain.
However, you can use the AODocs Smartbar to access a domain that is different from your default domain.
For example:
- Alice (alice@domainA.com) belongs to domainA.com. She can configure her Smartbar to access AODocs documents and folders on another domain, such as domainB.com. This requires a Super administrator of domainB.com to allow her to access the domain.
- Similarly, Bob (bob@gmail.com), doesn't belong to any Google domain. He can configure his Smartbar to access the AODocs libraries he has been given access to on domainB.com.
1. Open the AODocs Smartbar settings panel.
2. Select the domain where you want to activate the Smartbar.
Notes:
– You can activate only one domain at a time. Smartbar features are available only for the files stored on the domain that you selected.
– If you don't have a drop-down menu in the settings panel, it means that your email address hasn't been added as an external user on another domain. Learn more: Manage external users.
3. If required, define your AODocs instance. You must use the same instance as your AODocs instance. Learn more: What are AODocs instances?
