Dear Smartbar users,
We’re pleased to announce a new version of the Smartbar extension (12.0), planned to be rolled out on 3 June 2019.
The Smartbar now supports Chrome 73+
With this release we made the required changes to be compatible with the latest Chrome 73 restrictions that impacted our Smartbar extension.
To give us time to work on this big impact for our product, the Smartbar was whitelisted by Google and you weren’t affected by the Chrome 73 upgrade.
Now that we’re ready to work with the latest version of Chrome, we can continue to add more features to the Smartbar.
Minor improvements
- When importing an email from Gmail into a Secured Folder or a Team Folder, the name of the folder or document created no longer has the “Subject” prefix.
- We updated our Smartbar help and settings buttons to differentiate them from those of Google Drive. There’s now an AODocs icon on these buttons.
- We also redesigned the upload pop-up, where you can now find a link to access the job details page in case of error.
Fixes
The Smartbar extension now initializes correctly when you open the Google Drive standalone preview.
