Pre-defined domain roles
All domains have the following pre-defined roles. Each domain must have at least one AODocs super administrator.
AODocs super administrators
Super administrators have access to all the domain administration features.

Library creators
Library creators are defined by super administrators at the domain level. They don't have access to the domain administration but can create libraries on the domain. Learn more: Manage library creators.
Granular domain roles based on permissions
You can allocate users granular permissions to access some domain administration features, without giving them full access to the domain administration. These users can access only the domain administration features for which they have been allocated permissions. Learn more: Access the domain administration with granular domain administration permissions.
Important: To set up granular domain roles on your domain and assign them to users or group of users, contact your AODocs sales representative or send an email to sales@aodocs.com.
Users can have any combination of the domain administration permissions listed below.
Manage AODocs licenses
All users with granular license management permissions can access the license settings in the domain administration.
Depending on which level of granularity has been assigned, users can:
- view the license allocation information in the billing information panel and the list of users who have AODocs licenses
- allocate licenses
- revoke licenses (and remove over-limit users)
Manage AODocs storage accounts
All users with granular AODocs storage account management permissions can access the AODocs storage account settings in the domain administration.
Depending on which level of granularity has been assigned, users can:
- view the list of AODocs storage accounts with details of usage
- add AODocs storage accounts
- edit the availability of AODocs storage accounts
- remove AODocs storage accounts
Access the domain audit log
All users with the permission to access to the domain audit log can access the audit log in the domain administration.
Users with this permission can view the domain audit log, filter events and export the log.
Important: These users cannot view security code events in the domain audit log.
Administrate all libraries
Users with this permission are administrators in all libraries on your domain. They can access the library administration in all libraries on your domain and have full access to all the library administration features.
They don't have access to the domain administration (unless they have other granular permissions allocated).
Note: Like super administrators, they don't have automatic access to document attachments in their libraries.
Access the domain administration with granular domain administration permissions
All users with at least one granular domain role (except those who can only administrate all libraries) can access the domain administration as standard. However, when they open the domain administration, they only see the features for which they have permissions.
In the example below, the user can manage licenses and AODocs storage accounts, but can't view the audit log.
They can view the license allocation but can't add or revoke licenses.
