View and manage Gmail add-on reports

The Gmail add-on lets you export emails and their attachments to AODocs libraries.

Note: The Gmail add-on is available in all types of library: Team Folders, Secured Folders and Document Management libraries, using any storage platform.

Check reports in the dashboard

Open the dashboard

1. Open the Gmail add-on More actions menu and select Dashboard

Single export reports

Click Single exports to view all reports corresponding to exports of single emails you received.

You can: 

  • filter the list of reports by status
  • open the corresponding AODocs document
  • refresh the list
  • rerun a save that failed

Rule-based batch export reports

Click Rule exports to view all reports corresponding to batch exports of emails based on rules.

You can: 

  • filter the list of reports by status
  • refresh the list
  • view the details of a rule export

Click View details to see the details of each email exported with a given batch export.

You can: 

  • filter the list of reports by rule or status
  • rerun the export of a specific email that failed

Note: You can't rerun a full rule export here, only specific emails. You can run a new batch export with this rule to export newer emails.

Composed email exports (Send & file)

Click Send & file to view all reports corresponding to exports of single emails you composed.

You can:

  • filter the list of reports by rule
  • open the corresponding AODocs document
  • refresh the list

Meaning of the statuses

Below are explanations of the different types of status for email exports. 

Status Explanation
SUCCESS The email was exported to AODocs. 
ALREADY SAVED The email wasn't exported to AODocs because it has already been exported to this library and document class in a previous export operation.
IN PROGRESS The email is currently being exported to AODocs.
WARNING

The email was exported to AODocs but there was a problem, for example if an attached file wasn't created.

FAILED

This is a status for execution of an email export that fails. No document was created or updated in AODocs.

ERRORS

This is a status for execution of a rule export when one or more of the emails failed. 


Define when to receive email notifications of batch exports

You can choose to receive email notifications of batch exports.

1. Open the dashboard.

2. Select the Personal settings tab.

3. Define when you want to receive notifications of reports by email:

  • Always – receive notifications after all batch exports
  • In case of errors – receive notifications only if an error occurs during a batch export
  • Never

4. Click Save
