Switch from grid layout to list layout in Google Drive

When you use the AODocs Smartbar, your documents in Google Drive must be displayed in list layout and not in grid layout.

To switch from grid layout to list layout, open Google Drive and click the List view button.

When you have switched to list layout, your Google Drive interface looks like this:

Note: Smartbar features are available in the Google Drive file preview for Google files and non-Google files. You can access the file preview directly from grid mode.

Can i force a default view for people i share my folder with? Say i want them to see it in Grid view instead of list.

No, unfortunately, Google Drive does not allow you this. It is a setting that is set on a per user level and bound to the Google session.

Orly, you can sort of do that with the 'embedded folder view' :

https://drive.google.com/embeddedfolderview?id=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx#grid

https://drive.google.com/embeddedfolderview?id=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx#list

replace the x's with your folder ID

I see how that works but that will take them to a grid view that's seems like its outside the drive but if they click a folder they will be taken to their drive with their own view again.
