Why does changing your domain impact AODocs?
AODocs uses your Google Workspace domain. It identifies users through their email addresses.
When you change your primary domain, user email addresses change. This breaks the link with AODocs.
How do I ensure AODocs works after a domain change?
To ensure that AODocs can correctly authenticate your end users after your domain is changed, make sure you apply the following measures:
- keep the old primary domain as a secondary domain
- for EACH user of the domain, add the user’s old email address as an alias email address
What happens if these steps are not followed?
If the two conditions above are not met, your end users will not be able to sign in to AODocs after the domain change, and AODocs will not be able to access your domain’s Google Drive.
