Thank you for your post, we are very interested by this feature.
According to our engineering team the Drive API does not yet provide a method to set an expiration date on a folder or file level.
Until the Drive team adds this feature, we will let your post opened for voting.

Anything new on being able to apply expiration date at the file or folder level?
We would also like this feature added! Any updates? Doesn't seem that there's been much activity on this thread in the past 2 years...
