Hyperlink within Microsoft Word document (.docx format) not working in Google Drive or AODocs preview

I have a Microsoft Word (.docx) format file attached to a record stored in a Secured Folder library. Inside this .docx, I have several hyperlinks that should navigate me to other AODocs records. When I download the Word document and open it up in Microsoft Word, the links work correctly by navigating me to 2 other AODocs records. However, when previewing the document from the AODocs web and Google Drive interfaces, the links incorrectly navigate me to the AODocs library dashboard.

Via a support ticket it was identified that the # parameter in the hyperlink is causing the issue. When the URL is opened in Google Drive preview, everything in the URL after the hash parameter is removed. With this behavior, I am redirected to the AODocs homepage because the URL interpreted the preview as: https://aodocs.altirnao.com/?locale=en_AU&aodocs-domain=XDOMAIN

Can this be resolved please?

    Hi Jeremy,

    Thanks for you post.

After discussing with the engineering team, this appears to be an issue with the Google Drive preview that we embed directly into AODocs. There's nothing we can do on our side to modify the behaviour of the preview, so I advise you to contact the G Suite support to report this behaviour.

    Have a nice day!

    Catherine
