Conditional use/display of document properties

Hi there,

I am looking for a way to have conditional display of properties. i.e.

If property X is TRUE then display property Y which is a date field.

TIA

Duncan

    Hi all,

Many thanks for all your messages, and the use cases you shared, there are extremely helpful to shape the roadmaps!

I'm very excited to tell you that we have released this week the latest AODocs version, V56, which brings the conditionally hidden & mandatory properties!
Feel free to check out the release note, and the associated KB article.

This is part of the much larger conditional logic initiative, which also provides you with the calculated property values and calculated titles.

We really hope those new features will help you meet your needs, and we stay at your disposal should you want to discuss them.

    Best Regards,

Adrien, for the AODocs Product Team

  • This would be useful for us as well.  Any idea if this will be developed?

  • This is really essential for the AOdocs tool we are using.  Our users complained about having to select the same field over and over.  Hope this will be on the product roadmap ASAP!

  • We need this feature so as to allow selecting areas without having to select metro again and again.

  • Any update on this one?? This is one feature where AODocs lags behind most other Document Management solutions we tested..

  • We also need the ability to set the Mandatory/Read-Only/Hidden property attributes based on the value of another property, for various scenarios.

For example: In an equipment database, I have a boolean value for "Requires Calibration" - if yes then I want the users to specify calibration dates, values, actionee roles associated etc. but if the equipment doesn't require calibration, then I don't want them to see all the fields for calibrations.

This minimizes the amount of information we request from users and allows us to only present fields which are relevant, given the information we've already received from them.
