By default, in a view, filters are hidden. It would be great to be able to have a shown filter instead of hidden

With version 44 launched in early August. We implemented this feature!
We have been able to display filters by the following. See if it works for you.
You can decide whether the list displays the AODocs header or not, and how many records are displayed per page, by changing the URL (hideSearch=1 will not display the header):

Yes Jeremy, it is a nice set up, but this is when you go directly to the view from outside the library or in an embed frame in a google site/page. If you enter from the AODocs library homepage and go on any view, filters are hidden by default
