Easier way to point users to most up-to-date, approved library document
Currently, in order to have a URL that points to the most recent, approved document in a library, extra manual steps need to be take to create a URL. I would like to request an easier way to build/use a URL.
Current process:
The redirect URL is built as follows:
https://aodocs.altirnao.com/drive/redirect/<domain name>/<AODocs document ID>/<Index of the attachment>
Note that the Index of the attachment goes from 0 to (the number of attachments) - 1.
Therefore the link to the first attachment of the document is as follows:
https://aodocs.altirnao.com/drive/redirect/<domain name>/<AODocs document ID>/0

Hi Jeremy,
Thanks for your post! I understand the way the redirect URL works is helpful, but building the URL itself is a bit of a burden, so you'd like it to be less manual. Is that correct?
Would it answer your need if for example, for each attachment of an AODocs document, we add, next to the other attachment options (download, open in a new tab) a new option: "Copy redirect URL"? The URL would be stored in your clipboard, so you can paste it wherever you need.
Thanks,
Marine, AODocs Head of Product
Hello Marine!
Yes, that would be extremely helpful and is a great idea!
Thank you!
Jeremy
