"Obsolete" watermark on old versions

Hi Team,

Would it be possible to have a script or process to mark up the attachments in older versions to reflect the fact that it is not current?

So each time a new version is checked in, a workflow transition script would update all supported attachments in all previous versions get a watermark or something similar to reflect the fact that there is a newer version available?

Regards,

Matt

  • Has this improvement been implemented? We looked into it, and it would also be beneficial for us to have this functionality.

  • This improvement is of essential importance for the management system regarding the control of documented information, a requirement of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 in which Whirlpool is certified. Presenting an obsolete version with an "Obsolete" title ensures the unintended use of an old version, which may even lack important information for quality processes and even worker safety.

  • This system improvement regarding the identification of previous versions - in the title, together with the version number, with the tag "obsoleted" would further improve our process of controlling the identification of previous versions.

  • Obsolete" watermark on old versions is required in the EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017

item 8.3.2 f) the unintended use of obsolete documents is prevented, and suitable identification is applied to  them if they are retained for any purpose.
