Copy the folder tree and the contents

We have set up a master folder structure for our projects. In the sub-folders we pre-populate blank forms and templates. Copying the tree is a huge help. Being able to copy the contents and tree would save time and reduce errors.

  • Hello Jim,

Thank you for your feedback. I understand the ease of use this would bring to replicate the project process from one project to another.

How would you manage the template/blank documents belonging to the master folder structure? Do you see them as standard documents of the library or would they live appart from it?

Also, how many documents and folders are you talking about in the master folder structure?

    Have a good day.

  • We have the need to be able to copy more than one document at a time within a library. We have documents that have been edited for one project and we could use as a starting point for another project to edit to fit the needs of the new project without having to make the same edits twice. It would be very helpful to be able to select, for example: 250 documents and attachments and be able to copy all 250 at once and change the metadata and properties to fit the new project.
