Improve the UI of the Document's page (Visualization of different Document Classes)
When a library has a lot of Document Classes, users can be confused between the different documents classes. So that the identification of a document class can be easily distinguished quickly, library administrators should be able to choose the color of the ribbon of the properties tab for each Document Class. The configuration could be integrated in the "Document view configuration" tab.

I think it would be OK to have pre-selected colors to choose from if that would eliminate potential conflicts with other color-coding.
Currently, we have two classes that are always related (there is always at least 1:1) and users consistently need to flip back and forth between them. They also share many of the same fields. Users have to keep scrolling up to look at the class in the properties at the top.
The primary area where color-coding would be valuable is in the title bar, which is always visible but always blue:
Color-coding seems like the easiest, most accessible way of users quickly determining which type of document they are looking at. We are definitely open to other ways to quickly indicate to users that they are looking at a specific type of document.
Hi Samantha,
Thanks for reaching out with your feature request.
We're concerned that this may create conflicts with color coding in workflows. Could you confirm where you'd be interested in this color - only in the Info panel of the document editor? We'll also talk to our design team to get their insights on this topic.
Thanks in advance.
Catherine
Any updates on this feature request?
Hi Samantha,
the product team doesn't have plans to add customizable colors to the AODocs interface based on the class.
But a simple trick would be to add colorful Unicode characters to the name of the class:

What Doug is suggesting in his post actually works for Document classes as well.
The class name is not always viewable. The benefit of being able to color code the menu bar is that it is always visible. In some cases, we hide the class name to minimize the amount of info displayed, but where appropriate we display the class name; color coding the name itself is not value added primarily because as you scroll through the properties of some classes you won't see the class name. In addition, there are a limited number of colors that can be easily read as text on a while background.
