The AODocs mobile app is a mobile application that brings AODocs features directly into your mobile device.
This article explains how to:
Access your libraries
1. Open the AODocs mobile app.
2. In the bottom panel, press:
- All libraries to view a list of all the libraries you have access to
Note: By default, all libraries are displayed when you open the AODocs mobile app.
Note: You can set libraries as favorites from the desktop version of AODocs and Google Drive. Learn more: Manage your favorite libraries.
Tips:
– You can identify the library types from their icons.
– To refresh your list of libraries, scroll to the top of the list and swipe down.
Sort your library list
1. On your list of libraries, press the sort button.
Note: The sort button displays the current sorting option.
2. Select the required options:
- In the Sort by section, select:
- Name: to sort your list of libraries in alphabetical order
- Last time accessed: to sort your list of libraries in order of the last time you accessed them in the AODocs desktop version
Notes:
– By default, libraries are sorted by name.
– If you select to sort your libraries by the last time they were accessed, only the first 100 libraries are sorted in this way. Learn more: AODocs mobile: Known limitations.
- In the Filter by section, you can filter libraries by type:
- Team Folder
- Secured Folder
- Document Management
Notes:
– If you don't select a filter option, all library types are displayed by default.
– You can select only one library type as the filter option at a time.
– You can combine the sorting criteria and the filter option to sort your library list.
Tip: Unselect the library type to remove the filter.
3. Press OK.
Your list of libraries is displayed with the applied sorting options.
Tip: To refresh your sorted list of libraries, scroll to the top of the list and swipe down.
Search for libraries using keywords
1. In the bottom panel, select to display all your libraries, your favorite libraries or libraries where you have a pending workflow action.
2. In the search bar, fill in part of or all of the name of a library.
The list of libraries displayed is filtered according to the text you entered. The search is not case sensitive and matches partial keywords.
Open a library
Press the name of a library to open it.
When you open a library in the AODocs mobile app, the default view is displayed.

Depending on the library configuration, you can access your documents in various ways.
Tip: Press the Back button to return to your list of libraries.
Access your documents
Switch views
If multiple views are configured in your library, you can select different views to access your documents.
1. Press the Views button. The list of available views is displayed.
Notes:
– The views button displays the name of the current view.
– If only one view is configured in your library, the views button is not available.
2. Select the required view.
The view opens and the available items are listed.
Tip: To refresh the list of items, scroll to the top of the list and swipe down.
Browse folders
You can navigate the folder structure to access your documents.
Note: In the AODocs mobile app, this feature is only available if the view has a browsing option set as Browse by Folder and there are no pre-filtering criteria based on folders. Learn more about Known limitations in the app.
Press the name of a folder to open it.
The available items are listed.
Tip: To refresh the list of items, scroll to the top of the list and swipe down.
Search for documents using keywords
1. Press the Search button.
2. Fill in one or more keywords.
The list of documents is updated and displays all the documents that have one or more of your keywords in any of the following:
- title
- system properties
- custom properties
- description field
- attachments
Open a document and view its details
Press the name of a document to open it.
The document page opens and you can browse the available sections on your document.
Note: In the AODocs mobile app:
– empty sections are not displayed
– if you have a pending workflow action on the document, the Workflow button is displayed in the Workflow section – learn more: Perform workflow actions.
– the document description opens in the description page
– you can't edit custom properties or the document description
Tips:
– You can expand and collapse the sections by pressing their name.
– To refresh your document, scroll to the top of the document and swipe down.
– Press the Back button to navigate back to the view, folder, document search or list of documents in a workflow state you were browsing.
– Press All libraries, Favorites or My tasks to return to your last location on your list of libraries.

If your document has related items, you can press the name of a related document to view its details. Learn more: Configure relations.
Preview and edit your attachments
1. Open a document.
2. In the Attachment section, select the attachment you want to preview.
3. Select the required option:
- To preview Google files: select the corresponding Google app
- To preview non-Google files, select:
- the Google Drive app
- your browser
Note: You must be signed in to your browser with your AODocs user account. Learn more: AODocs mobile: Known limitations.

If you have edit permission on the attachment you can edit the file and save your changes.
Note: You must have edit permission on the file.
