New features
For end-users
We’ve made the following improvements to the relations feature:
- In Document Management libraries you can create related documents (items) from document templates.
- We reviewed the text in the relations section in the document page.
For administrators
Relations
Administrators can define which relations are displayed and specify their order in the document page.
Workflows
Library administrators can turn off all notifications for a workflow.
Define who can see the recent activities and document history
A new setting in the General settings allows library administrators to define who can view:
- the library’s recent activity
- history of documents
- workflow comments and transitions panel

Feature improvements
For end-users
Full details of completed parallel transitions
In the document page end-users can now access full information about completed parallel transitions. We added a button See details in the Transitions panel which opens a history popup. End-users can see who validated the parallel transition and when, plus any comments.
See who created versions
In the list of Versions, end-users can see who created each version.
Note: If you revert a document to a previous version, you become the creator of the reverted document, even if you didn't create the version you reverted to.

For administrators
Workflows
- There’s a new condition for Person fields in workflow transitions: “belongs to” a role or a group.
- Workflow states now have an optional description field.
- A new placeholder can be used in the workflow notifications: ${parallelComments} listing all comments put in the transition (if parallel) that led to the state.
Views
- Library administrators can configure filters to list only documents matching values with an empty or non-empty field.
- Library administrators can set up user filters to search for documents based on String fields (exact match only) or values from the reference catalog.
Learn more: Configure views in your library.
Class configuration
- At the document class level library administrators can set document titles to be read-only (after document creation).
Learn more: Configure custom properties.
Visual improvements
For end-users
- Attachments - In Document Management libraries, we've made it easier for end-users to attach files to AODocs documents. There's now a single button in the sidebar (and in the Attachments section). A popup opens with the choices for attaching files.
In addition, a warning banner is displayed when you try to delete an attachment from a document.
Learn more: Manage attachments in Document Management libraries.
- The folder picker that opens when you move a document to a different folder has been visually improved.
- The Export feature in the document page (available in Team Folders and Secured Folders only) has been revamped.
Learn more:
Export documents or folders to a user's My Drive
Export documents or folders to Team Folders or Secured Folders
For administrators
Force workflow actions
The process for administrators to act on the workflow state of a document has been revamped. It’s now accessible via a menu in view mode (not edit mode). Administrators can:
- override workflow validation to finalize the current parallel transition (if any)
- force the workflow to a different state without performing a transition
Revamped Manage roles page
We’ve completely revamped the Manage roles page.
Revamped Trash page
We’ve completely revamped the Trash page.
Changes / Fixes
- A default description is now filled when triggering a check-in via a workflow transition (it was previously already the case for “create new version” transitions).
- The option Create a new folder (from the New menu) is now hidden if the user can’t create a folder according to permissions model.
- It’s now impossible to move a folder into itself or a subfolder: the current folder is not displayed in the list of available folders.
- The Open with UFO extension was removed from the preview of previous version of document (for now).
- The checkbox Include documents from sub-folders now remains ticked when using a sort criteria in views.
Miscellaneous
- Polish is no longer supported.
- Hungarian and Italian are still supported but are no longer updated.
- We remind you that the "workflow publication v1" is deprecated and will eventually stop being supported. You need to migrate your workflows to use draft states and check-out transitions!
And there’s so much more brewing…
- Sections for properties (metadata) to organize fields with more granularity.
- Extend Export feature to Document Management libraries.
- More visual improvements and revamped end-user interfaces especially in the document page and library administration pages.
