Upload new versions of attached files

To upload a new version of an attached file in a Document Management, a Team Folder or a Secured Folder library, open your document and click on the upload button (1). The option is also available from the “More actions” button when previewing a PDF or a Microsoft Office document (2).

Important: You can not upload a new version of an attachment when you edit the properties of the document.

Choose one of the two options (3) below and click on “Choose File” (4) to upload your file:

  • either upload your file as a new version and the current version of the attached file will be kept as a previous version,
  • or upload your file and overwrite the current version of the attached file.

Confirming the upload of the selected file

If you decided to create a new version with the uploaded file, a pop-up will appear and ask you to enter the “Version name” (6) and a “Description” (7) of your new version.

Note that any new version of the file you upload must have the same mime type as the previous version (e.g. you can only upload a Word document to update a Word document).
