Move Files and Folders

In a Team Folder you can move files and folders by using drag-and-drop and Google Drive buttons (Shortcut: Z), just like in regular Google Drive folders. However, AODocs maintains the integrity of the content of Team Folders by ensuring that files cannot be accidentally moved out of a Team Folder, which would prevent the Team Folder users from accessing them. As a result, if you move a file outside of its Team Folder (for example, if you move a file from an AODocs Team Folder into your My Drive), the file will be moved back to the Team Folder where it belongs by AODocs after a few moments.

Note: To move a file outside of a Team Folder, the file must first be exported. Only library administrators can export a file or a folder from a library.

In a Secured Folder, you can not move files or folders with drag-and-drop nor with the standard Google Drive buttons. Moving files or folders in a Secured Folder can only be done via the AODocs Smartbar button.
