An attached file is a file that is attached to an AODocs document. Attached files can be stored in any of the compatible storage platforms. Learn more: Where is my content stored?
Attached files are listed in the left sidebar of your AODocs document. In Document Management libraries you can also access attached files in the Properties tab, under Attachments.
Documents in Team Folders and Secured Folders have exactly one attached file.

Documents in Document Management libraries can have one attached file, several attached files or no attached files.

Some actions for managing attached files are available in all three types of library (Team Folder, Secured Folder and Document Management libraries). For example:
- preview attached files
- upload non-Google attached files to libraries using Google Drive storage
- download attached files
Other actions for managing attached files are specific to Document Management libraries, such as:
- add new attached files
- add attached files by drag and drop
- rename attached files
- remove attached files
