Deploy the UFO or AFO client to your domain

The Universal File Opener (UFO) and the AODocs File Opener (AFO) are Google Chrome extensions. They enhance your AODocs experience. 

  • UFO is used in AODocs libraries using Google Drive
  • AFO in AODocs libraries using Google Cloud Storage or Azure Blob storage

It is possible to install UFO/AFO as an individual user. However, as a domain administrator, you can install UFO/AFO for all users in your domain. To do this:

  1. Deploy the UFO/AFO client to your domain (described below).
  2. Deploy the UFO/AFO extension to your domain.

Important: You must deploy the UFO/AFO client before deploying the UFO extension.

  • the GPO link you provide above is "what is gpo" type of document. I went through it for fun, and it doesn't actually say how to install .msi files.
